The Charity Shop

The Charity Shop is  located in the Old Shambles in Church Street, Newent, where its windows always attracts attention.   It continues to raise funds to support the running of the Association as well as funding special projects like the extension at Sheppard House, built in 2007 to house a bathing and therapy annexe.    The Charity Shop, which is a local charity benefiting local people, is managed and run entirely by volunteers, but overseen by a paid member of staff.  She has the role of administering the Gift Aid donations which is another income stream for the Association.

The shop was recently re-located to this building at it allows much more space for those generous donations from our supporters.  The Charity Shop now has its own "bookshop area" but we are always in need of books, clothes, bric-a-brac and  items of furniture, no matter what size.

Your help is needed to donate, to buy and also to work in the shop.    If you have problems in delivering donations the Charity Shop can arrange collection.  It has also become;

bulleta drop off/pickup-up point for Dial-a-Ride passengers who can wait in the warm and out of bad weather
bulleta booking facility for Dial-a-Ride trips
bulletDial-a-Ride information
bulletthe loan of wheelchairs
bulletan tourist information area where leaflets can be accessed for local beauty spots.  There is also a touch-screen facility to be found in the window

bulletexhibits and displays information explaining the work of the association.
