                      SHEPPARD HOUSE DAY CENTRE NEWENT

 

The Club

     Newent Association for the Disabled was founded to fulfill a need to enable physically disabled and frail older people to meet and socialise.

The Association was opened officially in 1982 by HRH Princess Anne at the Community Centre and fund-raising took place in various guises, to improve facilities with access ramps and lifts.

It is a club offering

Sheppard House - opened July 1994 The Duchess of Gloucester celebrated the opening of Sheppard House officially in 1995.It is now the administration centre for the Association as well as the Day Centre for members.
